RALEIGH’S PSE-3 CLOSES DEAL FOR COMMERCE CASINO TO HOST IMG WORLDWIDE TELEVISED SPORTS COMPETITION

PSE-3 Delivers Event Site for Second Straight Year

RALEIGH, NC – Through arrangements secured by PSE-3 of Raleigh, NC, one of the world’s most recognizable sports television series, “The MET-Rx World’s Strongest Man” was hosted by Commerce Casino in Commerce, CA. This is the second consecutive year PSE-3 has secured the event location for IMG Media.

Now in its 35th year as the premier event in strength athletics, “The MET-Rx World’s Strongest Man” will be televised in 2013 domestically on ESPN networks and internationally on five continents in over 100 countries and territories. The series is owned and produced by IMG Media, the production and distribution arm of IMG — the global sports, entertainment and media company.

“After successfully placing the iconic event in a non-traditional venue for the 2011 competition at Wingate University, we were excited to have the opportunity to successfully complete another deal for the 2012 competition,” noted PSE-3’s managing member Bill Futterer. “Commerce Casino’s management was particularly excited when they learned of the show’s international distribution and frequency of airings. It was simply a perfect match.”

“We entertain tens of thousands of international visitors every year,” said Commerce Casino General Manager Jeff Harris. “Reaching hundreds of millions of international television households through ‘The MET-Rx World’s Strongest Man’ works perfectly with our marketing initiatives.”

Previous host sites for “The MET-Rx World’s Strongest Man” include Zambia, Iceland, Morocco, China and South Africa and various locations in the United States.

A total of six hours of programming was produced from competition in October on the Commerce Casino property and at famous locations in Los Angeles.
